Why do people blog? Is it to get their thoughts out in the open? Is it because their are bored? Is it because they think people care about what they have to say, who knows. Why am I doing this, well it will be because I want to, because people always think I am a gourmet cook (far from it) because I am trying to make a difference in my child's life and how they look at food and feel good about themselves. It's because I want a place people can go and get good healthy recipes the Feingold way for their family. My kids ALWAYS ask me every day "mom what's for dinner" and when I say we are having penne pasta with salmon and asparagus people who hear look at me and sometimes say that's so gourmet, it's not it's just sounds that way...who needs hamburger helper when you can follow directions to a good fast meal that is good for you with none of the bad "fake" stuff and fillers.
We follow The Feingold Diet , he was an allergy dr. in the 70's who created a diet to keep people off of drugs for ADHD.
This diet takes out all synthetic foods, synthetic dyes, salicylates and artificial sweeteners. Basically if you just cook fresh, cook like you are June Cleaver and stay away from bad foods and ingredients you can't pronounce you will be okay.
I was sceptical but when my oldest child came to me and said "mommy I can focus in school and have more energy" you know you are doing something right.
